As you may be able to tell from the above, this
record doesn’t have an overabundance of documentation. No full names for
musicians or listings of what they play, no website, no street address,
no liner notes, nada. But it’s very worthwhile improv music to be sure.
Ghostly electronics, non-English voices and gibberish waft around, the
sounds maybe coming out of an untouched radio dial somehow cohering into
engaging field recordings. That id monster from the movie Forbidden
Planet finally got it together and made an album. I guess mystery
sounds fit mystery packaging; this sometimes felt as if it dropped
through a letter box from a parallel universe. Not background listening
but not foreground either; this is ambient music in the best sense.
Here’s hoping you can track this down.
