The debut of Cologne drummer
Christian Thome. This release lends a variety
of styles from classic jazz instrumentals, a little world music sound and the crooning of
an English female singer by the name of Sam Leigh Brown.
Thome’s musical short
story allows solo work of the band without letting it “become virtuoso personality
performances.” These qualified jazz
musicians are aware of the possibilities between the jazz standards and free
improvisation.
This release will appeal to
the mainstream and contains a good mix.. When
the CD was over, I wanted more of Brown’s crooning.
