From a purely improv standpoint, this CD just can't rate… unless, of course, you want to include "metal improv" in the current lexicon. Not that it's, like, "bad music"… actually, I thoroughly enjoyed their premise. They just PLUG IN, TURN ON & RAWK OUT! Hex-pect this would've been a better submission for my 'zine, IMPROVIJAZZATION NATION, but then, wotta' I know? Overload guitars that (actually) go somewhere, take you onna' trip, & some vox backgrounds that (might) remind one of the netherworld (or what we've been TAUGHT it's supposed to be like). Anyway, it IS improvised, & it IS strange, but if you're looking for "improvisational music", you'll prob'ly go elsewhere. Ed Sheperd sent it in, & can be reached at 304 Brookwood Circle, Archdale, NC 27263. Ed - send this to ME next time, not to "the Improvisor".
